Report on NPO Incorporation

glolab (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) became a non-profit organization (NPO) on December 1, 2020, (hereafter “glolab”)!

History of glolab

Ms. Shibayama, the president, and Mr. Kageyama, the vice president, met through the planning of career guidance for high school students with foreign roots, and began working together to create a place where the people concerned could help and learn from each other.

Since our establishment in April 2018, we have conducted career workshops at metropolitan high schools and published articles on the life stories of working people with foreign roots, with the aim of creating a community and career education for young people between the ages of 15 and 24 with foreign roots.

The future of glolab

In order to help young people, mainly high school students, to pursue their own path with a sense of conviction, we will work to provide career information, meet a variety of people, create a place where they can seek advice if they have any problems, and provide tools for early detection of problems caused by status of residence.

Specifically, we will focus on the following activities to support the project;

1. distribution of career videos that provide career-related information to young people with foreign roots
2. career workshop
3. diagnostic tool for self-discovery of issues specific to foreign nationals, such as employment and scholarships
4. LINE consultation for easy consultation when you need help
